You need a special technology to play video games,play multimedia programmes ,special effects on your computer.this technology is called the Direct X technology.This was inbuilt in Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Direct X has main sub technologies.They are

• Direct Draw
• Direct Sound

now it will open a DirectX diagnostic Tool Window.
Select SYSTEM TAB.
