Linux Distros(Ubuntu,OpenSUSE,Fedora,Linux Mint)

Linux kernel is a special kernel.because it can be get in Free of charge and if you want ,you can modify it and use it as you wish.And also many of the famous operating systems are make by using the Linux kernel.The operating systems which use the main code as Linux kernel is said "Linux Distros".There are lot of distros are available today.some of them are free of charge and some of them have to buy.Famous Linux destroes are

1)Ubuntu
    The most famous Distro is this.This is develop by the Canonical company in America.They are always releasing a new version of ubuntu in April and October.If you want you can download this OS from their site or you can simply fill a form in their site and you will soon get a free CD from their.

2)OpenSUSE

    After the Ubuntu this is the 2nd most famous Distro available.This is develop by the Novell Company.This has a beautifull graphical interface comparing to other Distros.You can download it from their site freely.

3)Linux Mint

    This OS is a modified version of ubuntu.but graphical interfaces are different.you can download this freely from their site.The first version of this Distro name is "ADA"

4)Fedora

    After closing of the Red Hat project they began to develop this new Distro.This is develop by the Redhat company.They introduced their first version on november 16th of 2003.

Microsoft Kodu

The Microsoft corporation has introduced a new programming language call "KODU".You can go to Kodue's website and you can download it to windows base operating system or a XBox 360 game controller.Kodu is a special visual programing a language design for make the games.you don't need to write coding to make games.all things have to be done using by simply move icons and button on the interface.And those button have special coding but you don't need to worry about.So it is very easier make a game by using this software.specially this Kodu is design for the kids.But this can be use by any kind of user.All the special coding have been converted to icons here.

Speed Up Your Computer

If you already have a Core to duo or quad core processor with High end VGA card this article may not be relevant to you.But most of the today people have a  very limited PC with Single processor with 512mb Ram and 64mb VGA cards.So if you are a that kind of user you definitely have the speed problem.So if you are using Windows XP as you operating system In Default it will come with the lot of decorations.It is very good.but do you know that most of them are eating your system resources?So lot of decorations means slow performance in your PC.So lets see how to speed up your PC.

 Right click on My Computer-->Properties-->Select Advanced TAB-->Select Performance Settings




























Normally It choosed the "Let the Windows choose What's best for my computer."

Press OK.Feel the speed now.but you will see that most of the settings are gone.we will make some changes in settings .

System Restore

System Restore is a component that come with Microsoft windows versions.So when you are dealing with lot of programes there can be a chance to occur errors.sometimes installation or unstallation of a program will affect to your Windows to behave in unpredictable manner.So if you don't now what to do next.you will get more troubles.may be your system get crash and you will have to reinstall your Windows OS again.It will causes to loss of your data.so how you overcome this problem.
System restore comes there to help you.It will help you to restore your system files to earlier date of time that everything worked perfectly.Usually when you install a big program that make lot of changes in registry ,Windows will automatically create system restore points for you.but if you want you can create them manually also.But remember this technique is not backing up your personal files.this will only care about Windows system files that needed to run OS perfectly..

Opening System Restore Window.

Start-->All Programes-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Restore.


In here you can decide what to do next.You can either Restore your computer to earlier date or you can create a restore point there.












Restore your System to earlier date

This calender will show you what restore points are available for you.You can select a date from the calender.When you select a date ,right side of your box will show more descriptive things that what are the changes that made on that day.So you can select the exact change from this box also.





After selecting all the things Click NEXT.











There it will show you a summery of that particular system point.



Then if you press NEXT it will start to restore your system to that selected system restore point.











Create a Restore Point

SO if you are currently happy with the current situation of your PC you can tell to OS that remember this situation.if somethings go wrong take me to this situation.


So in here you can give a name for your System restore point.

eg: Best Condition Ever.

So Press CREATE.
